Job Summary
The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families experiencing emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. The LMFT supports the mission of Family Service Center by delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health services that strengthen families and promote overall well-being within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and couples therapy using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency policies, ethical guidelines, and licensing regulations.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including case managers, psychiatrists, social workers, and community partners.
- Provide crisis intervention and appropriate referrals to community resources when necessary.
- Participate in clinical supervision, case consultations, and staff meetings.
- Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and professional ethical standards.
- Assist with outreach, workshops, or psychoeducational groups when appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, grant requirements, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (clinical supervision hours considered) providing therapy services preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including families, children, and couples.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and family systems therapy.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a nonprofit or community mental health setting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; $2,000 sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
