Veterans "HEROES" Program

The Heroes Program includes two service categories that collectively provide counseling and treatment to veterans and their families who live in Texas. We address diagnosed conditions to improve quality of life, relationships, outlook, and successful integration within communities.

Peer Support Services

This service is provided by certified peer support specialists who contribute to the client’s rehabilitation and recovery. Peer support services are provided in a non-clinical environment consisting of retreats, field trips, off-sites, seminars, and/or similar gatherings.

Certified peer support specialists consist of individuals who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces or credentialed social workers and Texas licensed mental health professionals (LMHP) who have completed military informed care (MIC)/military cultural competency (MCC) training.
