The Parenthood Program
Our program now provides free counseling and parenting groups for mothers, fathers, and caregivers in Galveston and Wharton Counties.
These group meetings focus on essential parenthood topics, including positive discipline strategies, co-parenting and fostering healthy family dynamics, effective communication techniques, navigating the joys and challenges of parenthood.
Eligible participants must be a father or father-figure to a child between the ages of 0-17.
At Family Service Center, we believe that parenthood is not about being perfect—it’s about growing and becoming the best version of yourself for your child.
Parenting is a journey of growth, where love and learning go hand in hand.
Join us to connect with other parents, share experiences, and build stronger family relationships.
Counseling
Individual counseling, couples counseling, and/or family counseling are available to address a range of concerns, including but not limited to high stress levels, conflicts in relationships or families, overcoming personal obstacles, and mental health issues.
Parenthood Groups
- Learn effective parenting skills and strategies
- Discuss parenting challenges and solutions in a non-judgmental, understanding space
- Enjoy a provided dinner and other program perks
