Veteran's "HEROES" Program
Peer Support Services
This service is provided by certified peer support specialists who contribute to the client’s rehabilitation and recovery. Peer support services are provided in a non-clinical environment consisting of retreats, field trips, off-sites, seminars, and/or similar gatherings. Certified peer support specialists consist of individuals who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces or credentialed social workers and Texas licensed mental health professionals (LMHP) who have completed military informed care (MIC)/military cultural competency (MCC) training.
